  Bill Cosby - too much smoke for no fire?

  it seems like the list of people who are accusing him of rape and sexual assault is growing every day.

  i'm skeptical of single accusations but the number of people and the similar stories seem overwhelming now.. it's not a conviction but to the court of public opinion ... guilty?.

  Yeah, it's gone beyond "smoke" - it's a blazing inferno and hopefully some charges come out of all of this.

  It still beggars belief that people actually go and sit though his shows.

  How can anyone accused of such vile behaviour by so many people make anyone laugh?

  And his wife - she must know the truth. I wonder if she made the choice to excuse it all for the fortune ...

  It’s not just the JWs that put up with all the shenanigans of the Watchtower Organization once they are shown the facts, but many people in general seem to not be bothered one bit, when all the facts about someone’s dubious conduct become evident.

  when woman look for a marriage mate in the jw world, he has to be baptized, but better if regular pioneer, but better if a bethelite or pattersonite, but better if ministerial servant, but better if elder, but better if elder and successful businessman, but better if elder and a doctor, or a lawyer with a big house and a pool, but better with all the above and no children and no in-laws..

  Honestly, who has the answer? We’re talking about a person who lived some 2000 years ago. Stories abound about walking on water, raising 3 dead persons. Not 10 or 100, not 1000 but only 3. In the end he comes alive and flies into space. He says he is going to return quickly.

  (Revelation 2:16) . . .I am coming to you quickly. . .

  It has been 2000 years.

  It’s time to move on.

  Terry that was great. I would have paid for a front seat, along with popcorn and a soda to watch that elder squirm in his seat. Your like my cat that catches a gopher and plays with him for while, giving him the false impression that he is going to get away scot-free. Then the bite in the neck--it's over!

  ladies , its not just me, is it?..

  ok ladies, has there been any documented studies on the role religion or society plays in keeping women in an economical and social disadvantaged state ?

  im wondering how many other women out there in the world, who either being raised or being long term followers of a strict religious faith,with traditional family structures, have upon either divorce or death of a spouse find it nearly impossible to find a mate or economic stability , and live out the remainder of their lives struggling and either bouncing from one guy to another, being disappointed or used, or simply alone.

  i have personally felt, that i, being a xjw and now divorced woman , with no acceptable work skills,[ ie: fancy resume with degrees] living of low wage part time work and barely any alimony , will simply be viewed as someone trying to get another man to support her.

  I’m not a lady but I wanted to tell you a story. Sometime back- I hired this old man to cut the grass for my mom’s lawn. He didn’t even have a lawn mower, so I let him use mine.

  He was complaining all the time and I basically had to do most of the work because after he would cut a section of grass, but he would chase me down and ask me to pick up the grass bag and empty it because it was too heavy for him. Every 30 minutes he would lie down and smoke a cigarette. Finally when I caught him going to the bathroom behind the shed I paid him and told him to go.

  Before he left he asked for a glass of water and wanted to borrow my phone. When I saw that he was texting, I asked what he was doing? He showed me and to my surprise, he was updating his profile on eHarmony dating site. One of the requirements he asked for in a girl was that she be independent and career minded.

  I have a friend who is partially waiting until the new system to get married because he reckons that perfect women have to be extremely gorgeous since their beauty seduced the angels.

  I hear that quit often also. What I never hear is sisters saying they will wait for the new system because by then all the men will be extremely handsome.

  I think the idea of no women in heaven came from J. Rutherford and he used the Bible in a twisted way to get the idea across that only males would rule in heaven with Christ. If you were a female and of the anointed, you would be given the proper equipment to fulfill you duty as part of the 144,000.

  Spanish vs English.

  i dont know if ive mentioned this in another post, but i moved to an area where 5 of my closest neighbors are jws.

  i not sure what the family on the end of the street is.

  there have their property fenced in with barb wire and they leave the house at night and are back before the sun comes out.

  I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this in another post, but I moved to an area where 5 of my closest neighbors are JWs. Another family is Mormons, and another family is Catholic. I not sure what the family on the end of the street is. They never come out during the day. There have their property fenced in with barb wire and they leave the house at night and are back before the sun comes out. They drive this old back utility truck like the one in the movie, "Jeepers Creepers"

  
  
  

  The Mormon family is always arguing with the JW families and the Catholic family couldn’t give a hoot about either the Mormons or the JWs, but they “All” like me a lot and stop by and talk to me. I’m like Switzerland.

  All the JWs are from the Spanish congregation and each family has about 4 girls and 1 boy, or at least it seems that way. One of the JW Sisters has a little store in her home and sells shoes, 2nd hand clothes, makeup, vitamins, and all kinds of junk. So every day she gets about 20 or 30 JW sisters from the surrounding Spanish congregations who visit the store and there’s all kinds of commotion going on.

  Since they are Spanish, they aren’t able to communicate very well with me except the young sisters. They know I’m an inactive but it doesn’t seem to bother them and they never pester me with encouragement to go back. The young sisters always bring me cookies, and sweet bread and stay for a while telling me about their day and asking for my opinion on certain things in life which would probably make another good post. Hey why not, I’m single. And I don’t have to go out to enjoy the company of young good looking girls. Heck I don’t even have to ask them out. They come to me.

  What’s funny is the Spanish work my street every week to visit the Mormon family and the Catholic family. They never open the door-LOL. When they do catch the Mormons outside, it's an all-out war of wits. (Planet ownership vs paradise earth.)
  

  Anyway I believe the Spanish had one convention yesterday in Las Cruces N.M. and one of the “Male JW” introduced me to the newest addition to their Kingdom Hall that got baptized.
